CSF Fall Semester 2020 lists are posted below:

Class of 2021 – CSF List

Class of 2022 – CSF List

If you have any questions please contact the CSF advisor Craig Collins at craig.collins@sweetwaterschoools.org

The Spring 2020 columns are blank because the registration process was interrupted and canceled due to COVID-19. It is assumed that anyone who registered during that period qualified, there just wasn’t a recorded list. If you have any questions please contact the CSF advisor, Craig Collins at craig.collins@sweetwaterschoools.org

Reminder to the Class of 2023: If you plan on registering for CSF next semester make sure you meet the requirements (outlined in the CSF Presentation and tutorial links below). The grades you receive THIS DECEMBER are the ones you will use to register, CSF does not accept failing grades in either academics or citizenship. If you have any questions please contact the CSF advisor Craig Collins at craig.collins@sweetwaterschoools.org

Lastly, please feel free to check out the Google Doc titled “Resources for CSF Members“. We have compiled a list of resources to help support students since we realize how stressful it can be to meet the requirements for CSF.

Congratulations to all the CSF Members!

The idea for a state-wide organization to honor outstanding high school students was first proposed by Charles Seymour, vice-principal of National City High (later Sweetwater High) in 1916.  Over 80 years later the 1000+ CSF chapters continue to foster high standards of scholarship, service, and citizenship among high school students.

Qualification for honor society membership is based on semester grades earned during grades 10, 11, and 12.  Students who earn mainly “A” and “B” grades in scholarship and who have no “D” or “F” grades in either scholarship or citizenship might qualify.  To determine eligibility, students may download the CSF application via the link above.

Life Membership in CSF is earned by having four or more semesters of membership, including at least one semester in the senior year.  Life membership entitles a student to receive a CSF Life Certificate, a seal on his/her diploma, and an elegant stole to wear at graduation.  CSF Life Members sit in the front rows at the graduation ceremony and receive special recognition.

Applications for membership are available during a two-week period each semester at the Counseling Center and must be submitted with a copy of the previous semester grades or a transcript along with a $5 donation (which pays for CSF Life Certificate, a seal on his/her diploma, and an elegant stole to wear at graduation).  The application period based on June grades begins in mid-August of each year, and in late January/early February applications are accepted for the December semester grades. Late applications are not accepted; students must apply during the two-week registration period EACH SEMESTER.

Should you have any questions or need assistance in filling out the application, please contact CSF Advisor, Craig Collins in Room 701 or at (619) 656-2400.
