College Prep Day – Wednesday, October 15

9th grade

All 9th grade students will be completing the COPS which is an assessment used to help individuals identify interests, learn about their abilities and determine their personal values which play an important part in occupational selection and job satisfaction. The results give comprehensive information which can be used in the following areas:

  • Career exploration in middle school, high school and college courses
  • Individual career counseling with students and adults
  • Occupational counseling in business and industry

10th grade & 11th grade

All 10th & 11th grade students will be completing the PSAT (practice SAT) – The PSAT/NMSQT assesses the critical reading, mathematics, and writing skills students need for college and beyond.

12th grade

Seniors will have several options for College Prep Day and will need to complete a Permission Slip (see below) for ANY choice and return to Ms. Batista in the Counseling Center.

  • Scholarship Workshop (On-Campus)
  • Community Service (Off-Campus)
  • College Tour (Off-Campus)
  • ASVAB (On-Campus)
