Free Prom Dresses To High School Teens

Attached are the electronic versions of our 2023 dress giveaway flyer in English and Spanish.

Please note the following additional information:
  • Each teen will be able to select one free prom dress and one accessory
  • Teens must reserve their appointment online to come get a dress. Accompanying guests do not need to register separately, but must be listed on the teen’s registry.
  • In addition to our Central Giveaway Location at Mission Valley Mall, there are 6 “Pop-Up” Prom Shops hosted by our library partners. When registering, teens should double check that they choose the correct giveaway location that they want to come get a dress at.
  • Teens must bring a valid ID and proof of enrollment in High School.
  • As of 2/28, Google Maps has us located near Target…this is incorrect.  The dress store is located next to DXL Men’s Clothing and near Macy’s Home Furnishings in the Mission Valley Mall.

NCWIT Awards !

Congrats to Emily, Isabella , Chloe & Zyanya for San Diego Regional Awards 2023 !

The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) is the farthest-reaching network of change leaders focused on advancing innovation by correcting underrepresentation in computing.

NCWIT convenes, equips, and unites nearly 1,500 change leader organizations nationwide to increase the influential and meaningful participation of girls and women — at the intersections of race/ethnicity, class, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, and other historically marginalized identities — in the field of computing, particularly in terms of innovation and development.

Chartered in 2004 by the National Science Foundation, NCWIT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that creates a far greater impact than if institutions acted alone.
