College Prep Day Information

This message is to inform you on College Prep Day this Wednesday, Oct. 19th:

1. This day is a Pro-Hour Day; school starts at 7:30 am and ends at 1:40 pm
2. Students will report to their period 2 for testing in their designated classrooms
3. 9th grade student will take the Career Occupational Preference System (COPS) and be able to participate in an assembly that’s focused on career choices.
4. 10th and 11th grade students will take the Preliminary SAT (PSAT)
5. After lunch students will participate in an all school anti-bullying assembly
6. Students will be dismissed at 1:40 pm See below:

SPECIAL BELL SCHEDULE:
Period 2 (regular scheduled P.2) 7:30–7:45
Passing period/Student movement 7:45–7:57
Testing (through per. 2) 7:57–11:25(All testing procedures begins promptly at 7:57 am)
Lunch 11:30- -12:17
Anti-Bullying Assembly 12:24 – – 1:40 (All students report to the gym)

 

Seniors:

All Seniors must report to the gym at 7:30 am for the Senior Panoramic Picture.

Following the group photo, seniors can choose one of the options below:

  1. Leave campus to participate in a community service activity of their choosing. Thirty hours of community service is required for graduation. Transportation will be the students’ responsibility. Students may not transport other students. Take your community service form and have your activities pre-approved by your Gov’t or Econ Teacher. (PERMISSION SLIP NEEDED)

  2. Leave campus to tour SWC, SDSU, UCSD, or another college campus. Refer to their websites and the resource page for specific times. Transportation will be the student’s’ responsibility. Students may not transport other students. (PERMISSION SLIP NEEDED)

  3. Remain on campus and attend a study hall in the library until the end of lunch, 12:17 pm.
